Although for all mothers, your love for your child is the most important thing in your life, it can sometimes be hard to keep that in mind. Every mother has at some point in her life had a bad day at work which caused her to come home in a less than great mood and therefore get more easily frustrated with their children. This happens to everyone at some point and if you want to avoid it in the future, a great option is to get some Maple Ridge photography showcasing your special relationship and love for your child. If you are having a bad day, you can simply look at these photos when you get home and be reminded how blessed you are to have your beautiful family – this will instantly brighten your mood.

Everyday we get to look at these photos and know that these are genuine representations of our lives. Often photos seem staged but these images remind us of everyday and how precious (our son) is to us.   – Genny Wong

photography for mothers who loves their children

maple ridge newborn baby photographyI am the only one of the Maple Ridge photographers that specifically focuses on the mother-child bond and this means that when you do a portrait session with me, I can help you create the right images to help brighten even the worst days and show your love to the world. My sessions are designed for busy moms who want to provide their kids with the best and show their love for them at the same time.

That is why I encourage mothers to write letters to their children which I will then include with the photographs, giving your child an everlasting expression of your love. Many mothers who have written letters still love to read them years later as they will bring them back to this wonderful moment in time.

‘I love looking at my photos on the wall. I love to just stand in the moment and read my letters. They still bring tears to my eyes each time.’   – Keeley Saunders

My Maple Ridge photography is available in two options for sessions. During either of the photography session, you and your child will play and laugh together. I might ask you to tell you child what you are proud of them for and ask your child questions such as “why do you love your mother?” I can then include these quotes in the portraits in the same way I include the letters, giving you a visual and verbal memory.

If you opt for a Be: Together Portraits session, it will last around two hours and take place in a location of your choice. Although you get to choose the location for your photography session, I suggest that you pick one that holds special memories for you and your child such as:

  • Your home
  • Albion Park
  • Alexander Robinson Park in Maple Ridge
  • Brickwood Park

With this option you can select your options for prints and other items a la carte, giving you exactly the memories you are looking for.

The other option is a shorter Just: Be Portraits session and this would take place in my photography studio and last about 15 minutes. This type of session is usually for mothers of toddlers or other kids with a short attention span or simply those who are on a budget. This type of portrait session will allow you to select from a variety of packages that can let you pick exactly what mementos you want, including prints, a coffee table book or a storyboard.

One thing that was really special was watching Elias see the pictures. He was really touched when he saw ones that had us depicting emotion with him. He said ‘Aww look at my mama. She loves me so much. That’s mama and Beanies having a snuggle. I love that picture.’  He melts my heart!   – Anna Vineyard
