One of the most difficult things as a mother is realizing that your child is constantly growing and it is near impossible to capture every single moment of their life. Another concern may be that you wonder if when your child is older, they will remember all of the memories that you hold close to your heart. No matter which concern you are facing, newborn photography in Richmond can greatly help with it, as it will be a great way to guarantee that you will have the memory of your child as a newborn (or baby or whatever age they are) for the rest of your life and that they will be able to view a photo of it as well, even if they are too young to remember taking it.
To make this moment even more special, I will ask both of you questions during the photography session (such as why you love each other) and include these quotes in your finished photos, giving you verbal memories in addition to the images.
When I received our images from the session, I was blown away. They perfectly capture the simple, raw moments of being Gracen’s mama that I never want to forget. They’re soft, honest, and unposed, and truly allow our personalities to shine through. – Jen Kossowan
As a Richmond children photographer, I cater mostly to mothers and their children as this is a special mother-child bond. These photos of you and your kids are designed to be memories for both of you for years to come. That is why mothers, especially those who live busy lives and might miss important moments in their child’s development, love this photography focusing on the mother-child bond. Although I specialize on working with moms of younger children, those with kids of all ages are welcome and I offer services to meet any type of needs.
To have beautiful, natural images of myself and my daughter is very important to me…I feel like having images that show how much I love her and our closeness would be absolutely PRICELESS if something were to happen to me. – Leanne Liakos
I offer mothers two types of Richmond photography sessions so they can pick the one that best meets their needs. The first option is a Be:Together portrait session and will last around two hours. If you opt for this type of session, you get to choose the location you want the pictures done and as a Richmond photographer, I strongly recommend that you opt for a place that holds great memories for you and your child so you will be able to recognize it in the photographs. Some popular options include:
- Your Home
- Iona Beach Park in Richmond
- Garry Point Park
- Richmond Minoru Park
All of these locations will provide picturesque backgrounds and can make the portraits even more memorable. If you opt for the Be:Together session, you will have the option to customize your order with several a la carte options including a Storybook Album, canvas collages and large photos used to create a gallery in your home.
The second option, a Just:Be portrait session, is only 15 to 20 minutes and will be done in the photography studio close to Richmond. This will allow you to select from packages that cater to your needs.
In both types of sessions, we will have a great time playing and chatting which can help me create real and genuine photographs of your interactions with your child.
‘It didn’t feel like we were posing for photographs. It felt like we were just hanging out and chatting with a friend (who happened to be snapping photos of us.)’ – Hillary Westover
